This well-cited ecotoxicology paper is entitled "Studying effects of some surfactants and detergents on filter-feeding bivalves". The paper contains a summation of a series of ecotoxicological experiments on how synthetic surfactants and detergents affect filter-feeders as exemplified by freshwater and marine bivalve molluscs. The author of that paper discovered new effects of these synthetic chemicals on water filtration rate by bivalves, namely, the effect of inhibition of the water filtration rate. This paper and these important results were favorably cited by Chinese scientists from 10 research institutions, namely, Northwest A&F University, South China Normal University, Linyi University, Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology, Qingdao National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology, Ocean University of China, Foshan University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yangtze University, Zhejiang University. 2024, p. 1-6; 07.08.2024.
