Аннотация:In this study a number of humic products (HPs) from lignite and peat were tested for their ability to
remediate polluted urban soils. Most of HPs tested promoted grass growth on lawns located along the busy Moscow highways. In model experiments with soils spiked with NaCl, fuel oil or copper the best detoxification ability of HPs was showed for salt pollution, and the weakest for oil contamination. The degree of remediating ability is mainly determined by the nature and concentration of pollutant, as well as individual properties of a HPs and their organic matter origin: HPs from peat showed to be more effective than the ones from lignite.
