Аннотация:Currently, many aspects of the cell cycle remain poorly understood. A number of factors complicates understanding the mechanisms of epigenetic regulation of the cell cycle and their impact on the development of the organism and a pathological state. A more thorough understanding of these processes requires a detailed analysis of the features of epigenetic regulation of the cell cycle, including DNA methylation, histone modifications, the degree of chromosome compactization, and the role of non-coding RNAs. Apart from these, it is essential to investigate the relationship between circadian rhythms and the cell cycle. The review examines in detail the feature of epigenetic regulation of the cell cycle, encompassing DNA and histone modifications, the activity of regulatory RNAs, as well as the interplay between circadian rhythms and key phases of the cell cycle.
