Аннотация:This is a book about Russian artists, about how bodily kinaesthetic practices invigorated their art, and about the way this made the art innovative, with a lasting influence. We look at the artists and poets of the Russian avant-garde to discover how their involvement with various bodily practices on the everyday level affected their art. Personal movement influenced art. Our subject is the life of this avant-garde world rather than modernism, as if the latter were something that could be studied in itself, or studied as the false consciousness of the modern economy of work.
