Аннотация:The case study describes how Dodo Pizza, a traditional fast-food company, leveraged its growth strategy by digital transformation. Digitalization has helped the company to get a dominant position on the Russian market and to pursue a successful international expansion strategy. The case introduces students to the company’s growth drivers and sources of competitive advantage. We use a resource-based view (RBV) and core competence concept to get insights about the role of digital transformation in the company’s spectacular success. The concept of increasing returns and self-reinforcing growth loops (systems thinking perspective) is applied to explore the mechanism of Dodo’s fast growth. The benefits of the “Get-Big-Fast” strategy are discussed. Finally, the case is a learning resource that helps to assess the disruptive potential of Dodo’s digital transformation for competitors (whether Dodo’s model of digitalization is disruptive for the industry or not).
